Gubkin University presented a report on progress for 2021–2022 within the Priority 2030 Program

On 27 November 2022, Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, presented the report of Gubkin University on progress for 2021–2022 in the implementation of the Priority 2030 Program.

Priority 2030 is a strategic academic leadership program aimed at supporting universities and implemented as part of the national project “Science and Universities”. This is the largest state program to support universities in the history of Russia. The program intends to increase the competitiveness of Russia in the field of education, science and technology.

“The program we are presenting turned out to be relevant: we correctly identified goals, set priorities and developed the right strategy. Over the course of a year, we established a VR technology center and an interdisciplinary multifunctional center for digital twins, launched a scientific and educational weather and climate center that will deal with issues of optimizing the operation of the fuel and energy complex in a changing climate, and developed and implemented new educational programs. In addition, we opened new laboratories and significantly improved the infrastructure of the university. All projects within the training track are being successfully implemented. We rely on the development of additional education, training students for future professional activities,” said Professor Viktor Martynov.

During the meeting with the members of the Commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Professor Viktor Martynov delivered a detailed presentation on the main results of the key strategic projects, including:

  • Hybrid materials and processes for decarbonization of the economy,
  • Creation of import-leading technologies and systems for testing equipment in the fuel and energy complex,
  • Low carbon energy systems and petrochemical products.
