Congratulations on the National Unity Day!

Dear Gubkin University students, faculty and staff members!

On 4 November, we will celebrate one of the most important public holidays in Russia – the National Unity Day.

This day commemorates the uprising, which expelled Polish occupation forces from Moscow by the militia troops led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky in 1612. These were the key milestones for our country that determined the cultural and multinational identity of Russia and became the foundation for the development of the Russian state.

Today, while celebrating this public holiday, it is impossible not to mention that representatives of various nationalities and faiths study and work at Gubkin University. We are all united by common values: a responsible and devoted attitude towards our homeland, family and friends – everything that is embedded in the DNA culture of the Russian people.

I congratulate you on this day and wish you success, health and prosperity!

Viktor Martynov
Rector of Gubkin University
