Young Gubkin University scientists came together for a retreat “Gubkin Expedition: on the Way to the Centenary”
From 29 January to 1 February 2024, young scientists of Gubkin University came together for a traditional retreat “Gubkin Expedition: on the Way to the Centenary” held in the Gubkinets Health and Sports Base. More than 70 representatives of all faculties under the age of 39 took part in the event.
The retreat program included lectures in four areas: educational work with students, educational activities, international cooperation and scientific work. The participants were asked to present their projects on a given topic. The working atmosphere was brightened by intellectual games “100 to 1” and “Oil Owl”, ice skating and much more.
As part of the offsite event, a meeting with Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, was held. The participants received an opportunity to ask him questions on variety of topics.
Following the results of the retreat, five projects were selected and recommended for implementation:
- Curator 2.0 (educational work with students)
- Gubkin Universe (international cooperation)
- Gubkin University Museum as a Venue for the Olympiad “Museums. Parks. Estates" (educational activities)
- Center for Collective Modeling (scientific work)
- Interfaculty Final Qualifying Work as a Way to Introduce and Implement an Interdisciplinary Approach in Training of Specialists (educational activities)
