The training laboratory to study computer attack detention was established at Gubkin University
To ensure high-quality training of students, Gubkin University established a new training laboratory to study computer attack detention at the Faculty of Integrated Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex. The training laboratory works as a virtual enterprise of the oil and gas complex.
The laboratory is based on the AMPIRE software and hardware complex developed by the Russian company “Perspective Monitoring”.
While working in this laboratory, students will develop the following skills:
- monitoring and detecting computer attacks aimed at elements of information systems of a virtual enterprise;
- working with special software to detect and analyze information security events;
- developing proposals to neutralize identified security flaws in the information systems of a virtual enterprise;
- carrying out investigations to localize attack objects and making changes to the elements of the information system of a virtual enterprise to neutralize the identified threats.
The established laboratory equipped with such hardware and software complex is unique in educational institutions of Russia. It is expected to be used by Gubkin University in training full-time students as well as company personnel undergoing training within the framework of the professional development programs.
