The Open Day was held at Gubkin University
On 24 November 2019, the Open Day was organized at Gubkin University. Prospective students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the academic programs offered by the University in 2020, its faculty members and staff as well as the life of the University in general.
The Open Day is a regular event held at Gubkin University every semester, which helps prospective students to get better understanding of the academic training offered by the University, the application requirements and student's life. The prospective students were able to receive answers to many questions directly from the University administration, faculty members and current students.
Over 2,500 prospective students visited Gubkin University to learn about the prospects of higher education in the oil and gas field. The online broadcast was organized for those participants who could not attend the event in person.
The meeting was held in a new format. Together with the Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov and the Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Viktor Pirozhkov, the presentation about Gubkin University and its advantages was made the young University graduates – the Vice-Rector for Continuing Professional Education Nikita Golunov, the Dean of the Faculty of Oil and Gas Field Development Pyotr Pyatibratov, the Head of the Department for Strategic Development of the University Pavel Kalashnikov, the Head of the Department of Youth Projects and Initiatives Anton Tumanov and the Assistant of the Department of Strategic Management of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Faculty of International Energy Business Diana Tyrtyshova.
After the general meeting, the faculty meetings were held to provide the prospective students with more details about the faculties, academic programs, admission requirements, and the academic process. In addition, during these meetings the prospective students got a chance to see University classrooms, laboratories and technical equipment available at various faculties.
