The Chair of the Joint Council of Students participated in the meeting with the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation

On 25 May 2021, Mr. Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, met with the leaders of the Russian student self-government. The meeting brought together chairs of student councils of Russian higher education institutions. Gubkin University was represented at the meeting by Ms. Anastasia Serapiao, Chair of the Joint Council of Students.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the issue of the development of student science and student scientific societies. It was proposed to hold various forums and events aimed to exchange knowledge and experience between universities. At the request of students, it was decided to establish a council of leaders of student self-government under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. After the discussion, the participants were able to ask questions to Mr. Valery Falkov about future professions, including specialties and competencies that will be in-demand by different industries.

The meeting was held within the activities implemented by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation in order to create the conditions for the effective personal fulfilment of young people, the development and use of their potential for the innovative development of the country.
