Gubkin University students are the prize holders of the Open Sailing Cup of Moscow

On 21-23 October 2022, the Open Sailing Cup of Moscow among students was held in the waters of the Stroginsky Bay of the Moscow River. Gubkin University team won the third place.

In total, 24 teams took part in the competition, including students from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-Don, Sevastopol, Nizhny Novgorod. Gubkin University was represented by four crews – the students and faculty members training at the Aquatics Center, including those who had recently started their training. Gubkin University crews became the 3d, 5th, 13th and 18th out of 24 teams.

The regatta was held in the format of races with transfers and direct judging on national sports yachts MX-700. A fleet of seven boats was located on the Stroginskaya floodplain almost in the very center of Moscow.
