Gubkin University hosted the XXV All-Russian Pushkin Youth Arts Festival
On 28 October 2023, Gubkin University held the traditional Pushkin Ball as part of the XXV All-Russian Pushkin Youth Arts Festival. Undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, researchers and faculty members from Russian and foreign universities under the age of 35 participated in the Festival.
In 2023, the Festival was timed to a significant event related to the history of Russian culture: the 200th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Ostrovsky. The competition program included several categories: poetry, prose, artistic graphics, classical singing, pop singing, instrumental music, drama, etc. Based on the results of the selection process, 91 participants were awarded the title of the laureate of the XXV All-Russian Pushkin Youth Arts Festival.
The main part of the Festival program took place at Gubkin University and included an opening ceremony, a poetry round table, dance master classes, sketching from life and a poetry composition. The Festival competitive program was held from 10 March to 15 September 2023. Having summed up the results of the competitions, the jury and organizing committee invited participants and laureates for creative meetings and awarding ceremony on 24 October 2023.
The Festival closed with a bright ball. The first dance was performed by Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, and Ms. Anastasia Gerasimova, Vice-Miss University 2023. At the ball, the participants danced waltz, polonaise, minuet, polka, rumba and others.
