Gubkin University held the Second Student Forum “Mestorozhdenie”
On 20-24 September 2023, the II Student Forum of Gubkin University “Mestorozhdenie” was held at Zaluchye training base in Tver Oblast of Russia. The event brought together more than 100 participants from Gubkin University, Donetsk National Technical University, Orenburg Branch of Gubkin University, the University of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation and Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
During the five-day Forum, the participants were divided into teams according to three areas of activities – “Leader Field”, “Event Field” and “Content Field” and were able to attend lectures and presentations, debates and plenary discussions, which helped them gain new knowledge and apply it in practice. Through individual and group assignments, the participants could demonstrate their leadership skills, organizational talents and creative potential. Collective problem solving and exchange of experience made it possible to create an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual assistance.
A lecture “On the Way to a New World” by Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, became an important part of the Forum program. Professor Martynov spoke about the current global situation, challenges and economic problems faced by Russia and the world as a whole.
Within the Forum, a plenary discussion “Gubkin University – the University of the Future” was also held. Rector Viktor Martynov, Professor Vladimir Koshelev, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Mr. Anton Tumanov, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Educational Work, Professor Alexander Maksimenko, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, and Mr. Pavel Kalashnikov, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, discussed the issues faced by Gubkin University.
The II Student Forum of Gubkin University “Mestorozhdenie” became an important and useful event for students who strive for professional development and personal growth. The participants acquired new knowledge and skills, made friends and gained inspiration for future projects and achievements.
