First year students demonstrated their creative abilities at the Marathon of Talents

On November 30, 2017 the traditional inter-faculty Day of the First Year Student was held in the in Palace of Culture "Gubkinets" of Gubkin University. The Marathon of creative events organized by the student councils of the faculties on campus ended with a concert at the Palace of Culture, where the best fist year students demonstrated their vocal, dance and other talents.

The first year students representing all University faculties participated in the competition the goal of which was to engage the first-year students in the University life, to develop their creative abilities, and to search for new talents.

The competition was held in three categories: the best vocal turn, the best team of humor, the best variety turn.

The jury included the Vice-Rector for Education Marina Filatova – the Chair of the competition jury, the Vice-Rector for Academic Work Vladimir Koshelev, the Head of the Office for Work on Campus Vladimir Filatov, the Head of the Property Office Irina Chuprova, the Director of the Science and Technology Library Natalia Leonova, the Head of the Office for Student Employment Assistance Anton Tumanov and acting Chair of the Joint Council of Students Artem Eremeev.

“Today all members of the jury have to work hard because we have never had so many talented first year students. Dear students, we are sure that the tradition of being the best in everything will remain with you! You definitely will become worthy graduates and will proudly carry the name of Gubkin for the rest of your life!” – said the Vice-Rector for Education Marina Filatova.
