Chair of Gubkin University Student Trade Union Committee contributed to the meeting of the Expert Council under the Committee of the State Duma on Youth Policy

On 22 May 2023, an expanded meeting of the working group on youth self-government of the Expert Council under the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Youth Policy was held in the meeting room of the Academic Council of the State University of Management. Ms. Aliya Zhumagulova, Chair of the Student Trade Union Committee of Gubkin University, participated in the event.

Together with 20 students representing Russian universities, Ms. Zhumagulova became a member of the student focus group within the Expert Council under the Committee of the State Duma on Youth Policy. The focus group was established following the All-Russian Forum "Rossiya Studencheskaya" as part of the All-Russian Student Forum "Your Move 2022".

The expanded meeting was aimed to discuss the issue of amending the Federal Law "On Education" No. 273-FZ and the Federal Law "On Youth Policy" No. 489-FZ. It brought together leaders of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Youth Policy, the Russian Union of Youth and the Department of State Youth Policy and Educational Activities of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as well as representatives of the working group and invited guests.
