The 2nd All-Russian Scientific Conference «Innovative Development of LNG Technologies» was held at Gubkin University
On 24 September 2021, the 2nd All-Russian Scientific Conference «Innovative Development of LNG Technologies» was held at Gubkin University with the support of the National Association of Engineers of the Russian Federation.
Mr. Sergei Zavorotny, Assistant Senator of the Russian Federation, and Mr. Alexander Singurov, Deputy Production Director at Sakhalin Energy, opened the plenary session organized under the leadership of Mr. Igor Meshcherin, President of the National Association of Engineers of the Russian Federation, Associate Professor of the Department of Gas Chemistry at Gubkin University.
During the conference, participants discussed the development of technologies for the liquefaction of natural gas, taking into account their efficiency, environmental performance and safety. It was particularly noted that the key principle for the development of the LNG industry will be the expansion of national technologies and their localization, which will help to open the resource potential and increase the export of Russian LNG.
The event brought together representatives from more than 25 companies. During the conference, the speakers delivered presentations on small and large-scale LNG production, preparation of natural gas for liquefaction, and use of advanced heat exchanger technologies. Mr. Andrey Kozlov, Associate Professor of the Department of Gas Chemistry at Gubkin University, spoke about the innovations in the analysis of LNG quality indicators.
Activists of the Student Scientific Society and students of the Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of Gubkin University contributed to organizing the conference.
