II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Liquefied Natural Gas: Problems and Prospects" was held at Gubkin University
On 8-9 November 2022, Gubkin University, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, hosted the II All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference "Liquefied Natural Gas: Problems and Prospects".
At the conference, the participants defined prospects for the development of the LNG industry in the Russian Federation and discussed the relevant issues, such as import substitution of the equipment for the LNG industry, development of technologies for the production, storage, transportation and use of LNG, standardization and product quality management, development of the national LNG market, impact of international trends on the industry LNG.
The conference program included two thematic days – the Day of the Business Community and the Day of Science.
Within the Day of the Business Community, the representatives of industry and business made presentations as well as voiced the challenges currently faced by the industry. The participants demonstrated the results of research related to the development of the infrastructure of regional fuel hubs that contribute to the growth of the LNG market.
Over 25 scientific presentations on the most pressing issues of the LNG industry were delivered on the Day of Science. Industry experts, faculty members, postgraduate and graduate students from a number of universities shared their research findings. Based on the results of the presentations, a collection of abstracts is planned to be published.
The format of the conference, which served as a platform for representatives of industry and science, made it possible to identify practical problems and develop a scientific approach to their solution.
The event was organized by the Department of Oil Refining Technology of the Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering with the support of the Student Scientific Society of Gubkin University.
