Gubkin University hosted the International Conference “Gubkin Humanitarian Readings”

On 28 September 2023, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Social Challenges and New Trends in Education of the 21st Century” (VII Gubkin Humanitarian Readings) was held at Gubkin University.

The Conference brought together the representatives of 40 leading universities and 18 scientific organizations from Russia and worldwide.

At the plenary session, the leading experts in the field of humanities discussed such issues as “Oil and gas revolutions: the society and people”, “Strong natural intelligence and thinking”, “Engineering in the context of humanitarian thinking”, “A programmer’s view of the role of humanitarian education in training technical specialists.”

The Conference was opened by Professor Marina Filatova, Head of the Department of Philosophy, Social and Political Technologies, who outlined the role and importance of humanization and humanitarization of professional higher education in modern conditions. Gubkin University scientists Mr. Viktor Sheinbaum, Mr. Igor Khrabrov, Ms. Ekaterina Simakova, Mr. Nikolay Eremin, Ms. Maria Yudina, Ms. Marina Balycheva and Mr. Alexey Faleev participated in the Conference.

Following the Conference, a collection of papers has been prepared, which is a scientific contribution to the development of an interdisciplinary approach to modern education made by academic researchers and faculty members in the field of humanities.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference was organized by the Department of Philosophy, Social and Political Technologies of Gubkin University.
