Gubkin University is ranked among top Russian universities by Expert RA

On 23 May 2024, the reputable RAEX (Expert RA) rating agency published the survey results of its subject rankings of Russian universities. Gubkin University secured the leading position in the field of Oil and Gas Engineering for the second year in a row.

In 2024, the number of assessed areas increased to 36: 170 universities from 43 regions of Russia entered the lists of leaders. Moscow and St. Petersburg are noticeably superior to other regions of the country in terms of representation in the rankings: the two capitals account for 65 universities included in the subject rankings. The closest pursuer in terms of the number of participants is the Republic of Tatarstan (ten universities), followed by the Novosibirsk region (six universities), Nizhny Novgorod and Rostov regions (five universities accordingly).

In 2024, the RAEX agency expanded the range of subject rankings by adding two new areas – State and Municipal Management and Hospitality Industry.

In addition to Oil and Gas Engineering (1st place), Gubkin University secured its positions in such areas as Chemical Engineering (2nd place), Environmental Science (7th place), and Mechanical Engineering and Robotics (11th place).
