Gubkin University is ranked among top Russian universities by Expert RA

The reputable RAEX (Expert RA) rating agency published the results of its six subject ranking of scientific productivity and the fifth the Index of Inventive Activity of Russian Universities – 2021 ranking. Gubkin University improved its position in both rankings in 2021.

Gubkin University was ranked the 12–14th in the Index of Inventive Activity of Russian Universities; the University became 6–9th in the development of advanced technologies and 20–22nd according to the criterion of transition to environmentally friendly operations.

In the subject ranking of scientific productivity, Gubkin University was ranked:

• the 9th among the top universities in the Fuel Engineering field
• the 21st among the top universities in the Energy field
• the 21–22 among the top universities in the Chemical Engineering field
• the 25th among the top universities in the Chemistry field.

Expert RA rankings have been published since 2016. The main components include the performance in fundamental scientific research, and the ability to generate innovations and entrepreneurship. The publication activity ranking focuses on the publication productivity of a university, while the inventive activity index evaluates the success of a university in patent activity.
