Gubkin University in the Ranking of University Effectiveness Monitoring 2020

On 18 August 2020, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation published the results of the Ranking of University Effectiveness Monitoring 2020 based on the indicators of university effectiveness. Gubkin University entered the second league and was ranked the 8th-11th.

Based on the points gained, higher educational institutions in Russia were ranked according to five leagues. Gubkin University entered the second league and was ranked the 8th-11th. Compared to the previous ranking edition, Gubkin University improved the indicators of research by 22%, financial and economic activity by 29%, and salaries of faculty members by 11%.

Overall, the methodology of the ranking takes into account such indicators as the average score of the unified national exam, the number of students, the number of foreign students, the growth rate of income from R&D, the number of publications indexed by Scopus and Web of Science, the number of citations per publication over the last five years.
