Gubkin University entered RUR World University Rankings 2018

In a released Round University Ranking 2018 (RUR 2018), which is considered to be the ranking of leading world universities, Gubkin University is ranked the seventh among the leading Russian universities and the 161th among the leading foreign universities in teaching.

In 2018 RUR World University Rankings evaluated performance of 783 world’s leading higher education institutions from 74 countries, 10 Russian universities entered the top 500.

Gubkin University entered the so-called “Copper League”, leaving behind such universities as Bauman Moscow State Technical University, National University of Science and Technology “MISiS”, Tomsk Polytechnic University. The leaders of the ranking also include Lomonosov Moscow State University, Novosibirsk State University, National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, St. Petersburg State University, RUDN University, ITMO University. Almost all of the listed universities improved the performance of the previous year.

The Round University Ranking is based on the data provided by Thomson Reuters Corporation. Universities are evaluated by 20 indicators grouped into 4 key areas of university activity: teaching, research, international diversity, and financial sustainability.

In 2018, Gubkin University is the 161st in teaching world ranking (the 7th in Russia), the 649th in research world ranking (the 10th in Russia), the 552th in international diversity world ranking (the 21st in Russia) and the 639th in financial sustainability world ranking (the 18th in Russia).
