Official opening of a renovated lecture room took place at Gubkin University with the support of Gazprom Flot

On September 19, 2017 a renovated specialized lecture room named after the Professor Boris Wendelstein was officially opened at Gubkin University. The renovation was carried out with the support of Gazprom Flot.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov, the Director General of Gazprom Flot Yury Shamalov, the Vice-Rector for Education of Gubkin University Marina Filatova, the Vice-Rector for Academic Work of Gubkin University Vladimir Koshelev, the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Gubkin University Alexander Maksimenko, the Head of the Property Department of Gubkin University Irina Chuprova, the Advisor to the Rector of Gubkin University Vladimir Sveshnikov, the Deputy General Director for Production at Gazprom Flot Sergey Bokarev, the Deputy General Director for HR at Gazprom Flot Valery Ivanov as well as the University staff and faculty members and other Gazprom Flot representatives.

The Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov expressed gratitude to Gazprom Flot management for the assistance in implementing this project.

“Cooperation between Gazprom Flot and Gubkin University has more than twenty years of fruitful work. Our company employs nearly 100 Gubkin University graduates, 50 of whom hold leadership positions and are responsible for strategic processes within the company,” – said Yury Shamalov, Director General of Gazprom Flot.

The renovated lecture room is equipped with modern multimedia equipment and is designed to give classes for several training groups.
