Gubkin University launched the professional retraining program on supply system management in the oil and gas industry with the support of Rosneft

Gubkin University with the support of Rosneft launched the new professional retraining program “Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Industry” for specialists from Rosneft subsidiary enterprises. The training will be offered within the framework of the Specialized Department of Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Complex, newly-established by Rosneft.

The event dedicated to the launch of the new professional retraining program was attended by the Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov, the Vice-president – the Head of the Supply Department at Rosneft and the Head of the Specialized Department of Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Complex at Gubkin University Svetlana Rai, Rosneft HR representatives as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management at Gubkin University Alexander Slavinsky.

“We are opening the professional retraining program in the field of the supply system of the oil and gas company together with Rosneft. In addition, earlier this year we have signed an agreement on the establishment of the Specialized Department of Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Complex. In cooperation with Rosneft leadership, for the first time in Russia we have been able to systematize knowledge and design the training program for the oil and gas industry employees. The knowledge gained during the training will help specialists perform their tasks and ensure the smooth functioning of the company's activities” – said the Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov.

"This program will help practitioners improve their competencies in the procurement system for the oil and gas company, optimize selection processes for suppliers, and improve the efficiency of operations," said the Vice-president – the Head of the Supply Department at Rosneft and the Head of the Specialized Department of Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Complex at Gubkin University Svetlana Rai.

In addition, it is expected that the trainees will receive comprehensive information on the business supply process – from planning of the product demand to fulfillment of obligations under contracts with suppliers.

The training program will be attended by specialists from Rosneft subsidiary enterprises.

As stated during the event, the next step in cooperation between Gubkin University and Rosneft will be the launch of a new Master’s degree program: Supply System Management at Oil and Gas Enterprises in 2018.
