Gubkin University at the opening ceremony of Student Days in the Rosneft pavilion at VDNKh

On 23 January 2024, the opening ceremony of Student Days and Gubkin University Open Day were held in the Rosneft pavilion within the international exhibition and forum “Russia” at VDNKh. Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, company representatives, faculty members and students participated in the event.

As part of the Open Day, performances of Gubkin University creative teams, lectures “Sustainable Development and Plastics Education” and “Assessing Digital Maturity of Oil and Gas Companies”, a business game by the Center for Assessment and Development of Student Competencies and oil and gas quizzes were held.

PJSC NK Rosneft has been a strategic partner of Gubkin University for 20 years. During this period, the following initiatives were launched:

  • two specialized departments at the premises of PJSC NK Rosneft: the Specialized Department of Supply System Management in the Oil and Gas Complex and the Specialized Department of Design of Oil and Gas Processing and Petrochemical Enterprises
  • two Master’s programs: Internal Audit and Control and Supply System Management at Oil and Gas Companies
  • the Center for Offshore Drilling to train specialists in drilling offshore oil and gas wells
  • the Technical Qualifications Center to provide training for PJSC NK Rosneft employees in various fields
  • “The exhibition and forum “Russia” clearly demonstrate the achievements of our country, including the success of the national oil and gas industry. Without a doubt, we together with leading companies are responsible for the basic industry of the country, and it is gratifying that PJSC NK Rosneft pays attention to education of new specialists, creates jointly the conditions for training first-class professionals in the field. We are grateful to the company for naming two of its tankers after outstanding Gubkin University scientists – Vladimir Vinogradov and Akademik Gubkin, which indicates great emphasis on traditions, recognition of the importance and pride in national oil and gas science,” noted Rector Viktor Martynov in his speech.
