A delegation from the Republic of Cuba visited Gubkin University

On 16 May 2024, Gubkin University hosted an official reception for the delegation from the Republic of Cuba. Mr. Gustavo Jose Cobreiro Suarez, Advisor for Education and Science of the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in the Russian Federation, Ms. Leida Finale de la Cruz, Rector of the University of Matanzas, and Mr. Jose Alfonso Macias Mesa, Deputy Director of the Department of International Relations of the University of Matanzas made a visit.

Mr. Alexander Maksimenko, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Gubkin University, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of Gubkin University.

For many years, Gubkin University, within the framework of international cooperation with the Republic of Cuba, has been providing training to Cuban citizens in higher education programs and advanced training programs for specialists of the fuel and energy complex.

To achieve the goals of further bilateral cooperation, the parties intend to sign a memorandum of understanding between the universities.
