The International Summer School 2020 was hosted by Gubkin University
On 27-31 July 2020, the International Summer School 2020: Offshore Field Development was hosted by Gubkin University in the online format. Over 500 students from 142 universities and organizations representing 53 countries became participants of the event.
The Summer School was organized by Gubkin University in cooperation with the University of Stavanger (Norway) with the support of the Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education (Diku). Dr. Anatoly Zolotukhin, Professor of the Department of Oil Field Development and Operation at Gubkin University became the scientific coordinator of the International Summer School 2020.
Classes and lectures were delivered by highly qualified faculty members from Gubkin University (Russia), University of Stavanger (Norway), Joint Institute for High Temperatures of the Russian Academy of Sciences and representatives of the Serbian multinational oil and gas company “Oil Industry of Serbia”.
The online event brought together students, young researchers and professionals interested to strengthen their academic background and expand their professional and social network. Online classes and lectures were held in English daily. 430 students passed the final test and received certificates upon successful completion of the program.
The Summer School was held with the assistance of Gubkin University SPE Student Chapter and the Office for Technical Teaching Aids of Gubkin University.
