The First Congress of the Student Council under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation

The first congress of the Student Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation was held from December 16 to 18, 2024. The event was attended by the Chairman of the United Student Council Ilya Balov and the former Chairman Yana Grigoryan.

The purpose of the congress was to exchange experiences, study current problems of youth and education, form working groups and the governing body of the Student Council.

The following key events took place within the framework of the congress:
– a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova;
– elections of the chairman and members of the presidium;
– discussion and approval of the action strategy for 2025;
– a meeting with representatives of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation.

Leading experts from youth organizations and movements of the country spoke at the congress. In addition, an open discussion was held with Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The council members also attended the All-Russian Congress on Youth Policy and Educational Activities at the National Center "Russia" and spent a day at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The first congress of the Council of Students was an important step towards more open and effective communication between young people and government agencies. This will benefit the entire educational community of Russia.
