Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov took part in the press conference of 6th Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council
On April 18, 2018, the press conference with participation of the Deputy Minister for Energy of the Russian Federation Kirill Molodtsov and the Rector of Gubkin University, Chair of the Russian National Committee of the World Petroleum Council Viktor Martynov was held at the Central Exhibition Complex "Expocentre". The event was devoted to the 6th Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council which for the first time will take place in Russia on June 23 – 28, 2019 at the multifunctional international student complex “Gorny” of the St. Petersburg Mining University.
“In 2014 the World Petroleum Congress brought together about 65 member states. In this regard, the leadership of the Russian Federation supported the initiative to hold a forum of young leaders under the auspices of the World Petroleum Council. On April 7 this year, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on facilitating the forum. In addition, an organizing committee with participation of oil and gas industry leaders, representatives from scientific and public organizations, and headed by the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, was established,” – said Kirill Molodtsov.
During the press conference, details on preparations for the event, its goals and objectives were announced. It was also noted that the Future Leaders Forum of the World Petroleum Council is one of the key events in the oil and gas industry, held every three years in one of 65 member states of the World Petroleum Council. The total number of the Forum participants is about 2000. Young specialists, graduate and post-graduate students will receive a unique opportunity to exchange experience, the latest information and advanced achievements in the oil and gas industry.
