Gubkin University students underwent annual practical training in geological survey in Orenburg

On 26 July 2023, Gubkin University students specialized in applied geology and geology finished the annual practical training in geological survey that was held in Orenburg, Russia.

The second-year students studied the geological structure of the Southern Cis-Urals area in the village of Petrovskoe. The practical training area covered Orenburg Oblast and the Republic of Bashkortostan.

During the field trips, the students explored geological structures and objects, as well as measured elements of occurrence, selected rock samples, went to mothballed wells, filled out field diaries and learned how to work in a team. At the end of the training, the students defended papers and successfully demonstrated skills acquired during the routes and team work.
