From 26 January to 8 February 2024, students of Gubkin University underwent practical training at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant as part of the School of Chief Technologist project.
The new career guidance project ‘School of Chief Technologist’ is implemented by Gazprom Pererabotka LLC together with three flagship universities: Gubkin University, Kazan National Research Technological University and Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. The project is aimed at training qualified specialists for subsequent employment in Gazprom Pererabotka LLC.
From 26 January to 8 February 2024, six students of the Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of Gubkin University underwent practical training at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant (part of Gazprom Pererabotka LLC), where they became familiar with the operation of condensate stabilization units and sulfur production units using the Claus method, installations for amine gas purification from acidic components, etc.
To explore the history and sights of the region, the plant’s employees also organized a cultural program for students. They visited the museum named after Viktor Chernomyrdin, located in Cherny Otrok, and went on a tour along the central street of Orenburg.
Presently, Gubkin University students are undergoing an advanced training program on the properties and quality of gas condensate held at the site in Ufa.
The leaders of the practical training are Mr. Farhad Vildanov, Dean of the Faculty of Technology at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University, and Ms. Ekaterina Grokhotova, Associate Professor of the Department of Oil and Gas Technology, curator of the School of Chief Technologist project at Ufa State Petroleum Technological University.
