Gubkin University delegation presented an updated target model for the Priority 2030 Program
On 23–25 November 2023, the progress of work done by universities within the Priority 2030 Program was reviewed. University teams receiving the basic part of the grant and candidate universities presented reports on the implementation of their development programs in 2023. The decision on the status of universities in the Priority 2030 Program and the distribution of grants will be made in December 2023.
The delegation of Gubkin University headed by Rector Viktor Martynov and Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Pavel Kalashnikov presented the updated target model and a number of launched transformation processes.
“We are actively developing to meet the current needs and future challenges of the hydrocarbon industry, expanding our partner network. We managed to attract a large number of young faculty members and researchers to understand how to develop. New strategic and tactical teams have been established to solve specific issues based on specific priorities. We have completely new directions, for example, non-fuel use of hydrocarbons, new materials, such as carbon, biodegradable materials, low-carbon energy – previously we did not have such strategic objectives, these are strong changes,” noted Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University.
Key results of Gubkin Priority 2030 Program include:
- a new type of biodegradable dressing materials is being tested together with a group of academic medical institutes,
- the production and use of the modifier “asphalt structure correctors” are being tested together with the industrial cluster of the Ivanovo region,
- a research and development program has been prepared for PJSC Gazprom for 2024–2025,
- more than ten thousand people have completed training within continuing professional education.
