Gubkin University delegation at the First Educational Conference

On 23-24 May 2019, the First Educational Conference “We are in the future” was held in St. Petersburg, Russia. The delegation of Gubkin University at the event was lead by the Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov.

The Conference, organized by Gazprom Neft, was aimed to discuss the transformation of the company and the formation of new requirements for training professionals of the future. Such issues as development of training practices in the company, overcoming barriers to the training of future professionals, as well as modern formats and methods used in training of specialists were raised at the Conference.

The Rector of Gubkin University, Professor Viktor Martynov gave a welcoming speech at the opening of the Conference. The delegation of Gubkin University was also represented at the Conference by the Vice-Rector for Continuing Professional Education Nikita Golunov, who delivered the lecture “Development of continuing education centers as tools to connect with the needs of companies”, and the Dean of the Faculty of Automation and Computer Science Igor Khrabrov.

To take a comprehensive look at the discussed issues, faculty members and students were invited to participate in the Conference. The outcomes of the Conference were embodied in signed memoranda between heads of higher educational institutions and Gazprom Neft.
