Deputy Minister for Energy of the Russian Federation and heads of oil and gas companies met “without ties” with participants of the International Conference: Oil and Gas – 2018

On April 26, 2018 the Deputy Minister for Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin took part in “the meeting without ties” and the special ceremony of awarding the winners of the International Conference: Oil and Gas – 2018 held on April 23 – 26, 2018 at Gubkin University with the support of the Ministry for Energy of the Russian Federation.

During the informal meeting, Pavel Sorokin outlined the prospects for development of the oil and gas industry, the main results of international negotiations on stabilizing the global hydrocarbon market, as well as answered questions of the event participants.

The heads of such oil and gas companies as LUKOIL, Zarubezhneft, General Electric, Schlumberger, SIBUR Holding gave also a comment on issues of interest to students and young researchers.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister for Energy of the Russian Federation Pavel Sorokin awarded the winners of the International Conference: Oil and Gas – 2018, the 2nd all-Russian intellectual game among the youth engaged in the oil and gas industry “Oil Owl” and the 3d all-Russian competition for the best student scientific society of the oil and gas sector in Russia.

In 2018, the team of young specialists from SEVMORNEFTEGEOPHYZIKA became the owner of the challenge cup “Oil Owl”, and the student team from Ukhta State Technical University won the cup of the best student scientific society of the oil and gas sector.
