Advanced training program of Gubkin University, CUPET and PJSC NK Rosneft

On December 2, 2024, the Gubkin University Center for Innovation Competences launched an advanced training program for heads of key departments and the leading specialists of the Cuban state oil and gas company Union Cuba Petroleo (CUPET).

The training is conducted under the advanced training program "Promising Directions for the Oil Refining Development", aimed at studying modern oil refining technologies and implementing innovative solutions.

At the grand opening of the program, the participants were welcomed by Nikita Golunov, Vice-Rector of Gubkin University for Continuing Professional Education, Alexander Zubchenko, Deputy Director and Head of the Department for the Development of Joint Projects in Oil Refining and Petrochemistry of the Department for the Development of Oil Refining and Petrochemistry of PJSC NK Rosneft, and Eldar Eskhadzhiev, Manager of the Personnel Assessment and Training Department of the HR Department of PJSC NK Rosneft.

The advanced training program includes both theoretical modules and hands-on classes aimed at analyzing and optimizing oil refining processes, as well as mastering modern methods of managing process equipment. Classes are held with the participation of leading industry experts. The particular emphasis is made on the use of advanced technologies, increasing the energy efficiency of processes and ensuring environmental safety of production. The opening of the program was an important step in the development of international partnership, allowing specialists from Cuba to gain access to the advanced experience of Russian colelagues in the oil and gas sector and strengthen professional ties between the two countries.
