A new laboratory was opened at Gubkin University as part of the Priority 2030 Program
On 6 March 2023, the official opening of the laboratory for the production of high-molecular compounds was held at the Department of Gas Chemistry of Gubkin University. The laboratory was equipped as part of the Priority 2030 Program.
Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, Mr. Anton Tumanov, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Educational Work, Mr. Alexander Komkov, Head of the Department for Scientometrics Research and Support for Publication Activity, and Mr. Firdaves Zhagfarov, Head of Department of Gas Chemistry, took part in the opening ceremony.
The new laboratory provides facilities for studying analogues of industrial processes for the production of polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene and formaldehyde resins, as well as training in production of high-molecular compounds. Classes in the new laboratory will help students to master skills of experimental work in the field of gas processing and petrochemical technology.
Professor Viktor Martynov noted the high level of technical equipment of the laboratory and emphasized its relevance in the field of chemical engineering, where visual control is often impossible.
