A course of lectures on geomodelling and geostatistics from Total Professeurs Associés was organized at Gubkin University
On 8-12 April 2019, Olivier Dubrule, Professor of Total Professeurs Associés delivered lectures on geomodelling, geostatistics in English. Gubkin University undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students as well as oil and gas industry specialists became participants of the lectures.
This course was aimed to demonstrate, without relying on the language of mathematics, that geostatistics is a simple and flexible formal approach for the quantitative presentation of geological data. The course also examined the use of geostatistics in order to integrate data from various disciplines, as well as a quantitative description of uncertainty.
Upon completion of the course of lectures, the participants took a written test, and received certificates once the test was successfully passed.
