Career guidance trip was organized for Gubkin University students

On 25-26 May 2023, Gubkin University students of the Faculty of Design, Construction and Exploitation of Pipeline Transport Systems, the Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Faculty of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Oil and Gas Field Development and the Faculty of Law made a career guidance trip along the route "Moscow – Tver – Torzhok – Udomlya – Kalinin NPP – Moscow", organized by the Center for Assessment and Development of Competences of Gubkin University Students within the project "Competence Centers" of the presidential platform presidential platform “Russia – Land of Opportunity”.

The main purpose of the trip was a visit to the Kalinin Nuclear Power Plant (Kalinin NPP), where students were told about the principles of the power plant operation, safe operation and technological scheme of the power unit, as well as received an opportunity to become familiar with the infrastructure facilities of the city-forming enterprise of the Kalinin NPP.

The trip program also included a study tour "Cultural Traditions of Tver" in the ancient city on the Volga River, the interactive activity “Principality of Tver. Journey through Time”, a tour “Small Town with Big History” around Torzhok, where the oldest temples and ensembles of merchant mansions of the 18-19th centuries preserve the atmosphere of the past centuries.

The career guidance opportunity can be obtained by any participant of the Center for Assessment and Development of Competences of Gubkin University Students. The platform allows students to evaluate and develop their soft skills, travel and meet new people.
