Congratulations on the Day of Russian Science!
Dear Colleagues!
Today we celebrate the Day of Russian Science. On 8 February 1724, the Russian Academy of Sciences was founded by the decree of Peter the Great. Over the next centuries, our scientists contributed significantly to the development of the national and world science, made new discoveries and played the leading role in breakthrough technologies.
Among the outstanding scientists of our country are oil workers, including Ivan Gubkin, Vladimir Vinogradov, Foma Trebin, Vladimir Shchelkachev, Leonid Leibenzon, Alexander Bakirov, Alexander Melik-Shakhnazarov and many others.
Continuing the traditions laid down by the leading national thinkers, Russian scientists amaze with their discoveries and expand the horizons of knowledge for future generations.
Thanks to the Decade of Science and Technology announced by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, young people engage in science, researchers and developers solve important problems for the benefit of the country and scientists become the pride of the people.
I wish our scientists, postgraduate students and researchers good health, professional success, endless energy, interesting scientific research and inspiration!
