Congratulations on Gubkin Day!

Dear students, faculty members and graduates!

I congratulate you on Gubkin Day! This year we celebrate the 93rd anniversary of our alma mater. In less than ten decades, our university has gone through a long and challenging period of establishment and development – from an institute that trained specialists for the oil industry of the USSR to a national research university. All of us, from freshmen to graduates of all years, from graduate students to professors, can be proud of the bright pages of the history of the university, the names of those who stood at the origins of its establishment and the names of those who now proudly bear the title of Gubkin University representatives.

Today, the community of students, faculty members and graduates of Gubkin University are the leaders in the oil and gas industry in Russia and worldwide. For a long time, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the university has been successfully training highly professional specialists with a broad range of competencies that enable them to make new discoveries, go beyond the horizons of possibilities of equipment and technologies for production, methods of transportation and processing of hydrocarbons.

Gubkin University is one of the most prestigious universities in the oil and gas industry in Russia, combining the best traditions of Russian education with innovative approaches to teaching and research. High professionalism, dedication and exactingness of faculty members and scientists, as well as of our graduates to the results of their activity allow us to be a leader among educational institutions in training specialists for one of the strategic industries – oil and gas.
