University students are winners and prize winners of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Transport and Storage of Hydrocarbon Raw Materials
From December 11 to 13, 2024, the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Transport and Storage of Hydrocarbon Raw Materials was held at the Tyumen Industrial University. Gubkin University students showed outstanding results, becoming winners and prize winners in both team and individual competitions.
The team of the Faculty of Design, Construction and Operation of Pipeline Transport Systems, consisting of students Liliya Tseplyaeva (TP-21-03), Dmitry Kireev (TP-21-03) and Oleg Zeynalov (TP-21-04) won first place in the team championship. In addition, student Liliya Tseplyaeva won first place in the individual competition, student Dmitry Kireev won first place in the individual competition among undergraduate students, and student Oleg Zeynalov won second place in the individual competition among undergraduate students. The team was trained under the supervision of Mikhail Fedoseyev, associate professor of the Department of Design and Operation of Gas and Oil Pipelines.
The Olympiad is included in the list of events of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and is held annually at the Tyumen Industrial University. Every year, it brings together the strongest students of oil and gas universities from all over the country to demonstrate their knowledge and skills. The Olympiad includes two stages: a theoretical round, where participants were offered tasks on pipeline transportation of hydrocarbons, and a practical round, during which participants conducted tests on a laboratory bench and built a pressure-flow characteristic of a group of series-connected pumps with frequency control of the drive.
The students' victory confirms the high level of training of specialists at Gubkin University and their readiness to solve complex engineering problems in the field of transportation and storage of hydrocarbon raw materials. Congratulations to the team on their well-deserved victory!
