Gubkin University student became the world sambo champion

On 12-17 October 2022, the World Sambo Championship among youths was held in Yerevan, Armenia. Mr. Denis Fedotov, a student of the Faculty of Integrated Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex of Gubkin University, became the winner.

More than 500 athletes from 24 countries took part in the competition.

Having won the competition in the weight category up to 98 kilograms, Mr. Fedotov achieved a qualifying standard of Russian master of sports in sambo.
