Career Opportunities
Annually more than 1,400 full-time students complete their studies at Gubkin University. To provide comprehensive support to students and graduates on employment issues, the Office for Student Employment Assistance was established in the University. The main goal of the Office is to assist the University students and graduates and support them in their professional development.
Primarily, the Office is focused on:
- advising students and graduates on employment issues,
- working with the vacancy database of employers – the University partners,
- interacting with partner companies,
- organizing various career events such as Gubkin University Job Fair, Company Days, presentations of employing companies.
Among the University partners there are the largest Russian and international companies which actively involve students in practical training and offer internships as well as recruit the best students after graduation. Throughout the academic year, various lectures, seminars, trainings and master classes with specialists from the business community are organized at Gubkin University.
Over the past year, 6 company presentations were held at Gubkin University, including Shlumberger, Rosneft, Weatherford, Gazprom Pererabotka Company and the Moscow City Government. The total number of students who attended the company presentations exceeds 760 people.
Twice a year, the University hosts the Job Fair. Traditionally the event is attended by the representatives of Russian and foreign companies. During the Fair students are given the opportunity to talk with company representatives, ask questions, and get acquainted with requirements and expectations of employers.
On a regular basis the University hosts the Day of Gazprom and the Day of Rosneft which are attended by the heads and specialists of company production departments. These events allow young professionals to get familiar with the proposed place of employment and understand the employment or internship requirements specified by the industry companies. In addition, students are encouraged to submit their CVs and fill out questionnaires of the companies represented during the events.
