Academic Structure
The Academic Units of Gubkin University are represented by faculties, departments, research and academic centers and institutions.
Faculties
The University includes 12 faculties. The work of every faculty is supervised by the Vice-Rector for Academic Work.
The faculty is a structural unit of the University which joins together researchers and faculty members, academic assistants and industry training staff of different departments and services included in the overall structure of the faculty. Various categories of students enrolled in academic programs also belong to the faculty and fall within the responsibility of the relevant department.
The key activities of the faculty are aimed:
- To ensure the effective management of academic and research work of departments, and educational process at the faculty;
- To establish and maintain the generalized corporate governance at the faculty level;
- To implement the main and additional academic programs.
The work of every faculty is managed by the Academic Council of the Faculty, the Dean and Deputy Deans.
Departaments
The main structural unit of the faculty is a department. The department simultaneously performs academic, methodical, educational and research work. The key focus areas of the department are to ensure the effective management of academic and research activities, and implement the main and additional academic programs.

Research and Academic Centers and Institutions
The work of research and educational centers and institutions of the University is supervised by the Vice-Rector for Research.
The key activities of research and educational centers and institutions are aimed to organize and ensure interdisciplinary integration of academic, research and innovative activity of the University addressed to current and long-run objectives in the area of oil and gas production in a particular research field.
