The Oil Queen 2024 contest was held at Gubkin University
On 21 March 2024, the traditional Oil Queen contest was held at Gubkin University in the Palace of Culture "Gubkinets". In 2024, eleven most talented female students took part in the contest. Ms. Anastasia Martynova – a student of the Faculty of Design, Construction and Exploitation of Pipeline Transport Systems became the winner.
The Oil Queen contest is one of the most popular events at Gubkin University. Every year the event brings together honored guests from leading Russian oil and gas companies and government agencies. The contest is brightened with a colorful show and an unforgettable atmosphere.
The event was opened by Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, who delivered a welcome speech and awarded Golden Stars of Gubkin University to graduates of the Faculty of Design, Construction and Exploitation of Pipeline Transport Systems and participants of a special military operation: Mr. Nikita Logvinov, Mr. Vadim Viryasov and Mr. Vladislav Kolesnik.
In 2024, the participating ladies demonstrated their talents in such contest categories as defile, creative competition, dance competition and the most intriguing contest category X, about the rules and conditions of which the participants were informed right on stage. This time, each lady had to demonstrate the skills of providing first aid to a soldier who was wounded in the field.
The representatives of government agencies, leading energy companies, non-profit organizations became the honorary members of the jury.
According to the results of the contest and the jury's evaluation, every participating lady became a winner in a certain category, including the following:

- Miss Romance – Olga Guryanova, Faculty of Design, Construction and Exploitation of Pipeline Transport Systems
- Miss Artistry – Polina Bogdanova, Military Training Center of Gubkin University
- Miss Perfection – Anastasia Martynova, Faculty of Design, Construction and Exploitation of Pipeline Transport Systems
- Miss Elegance – Daria Yurovskaya, Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering
- Miss Inspiration – Vera Vylegzhanina, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Miss Charisma – Polina Salionova, Faculty of International Energy Business
- Miss Sophistication – Ksenia Panova, Faculty of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics
- Miss Charm – Angelique Badibanga, Faculty Law
- Miss Grace – Maria Sarzhenko, Faculty of Chemical and Environmental Engineering
Based on the voting records in social networks, the title of Miss Audience Choice was awarded to Daria Gradova.
Based on the voting records, Anastasia Martynova became Miss University – Oil Queen 2024.
“Dear spectators, students and faculty and staff members, we have been organizing this contest for the 26th year. This is an established tradition of Gubkin University, and we are glad that such an event gains popularity every year. We are proud of our ladies, you are the future of our country,” emphasized Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, in his speech.
