Gubkin University management bodies are the Conference of the University staff and students, the Academic Council, the Rector of the University, and the University Board of Trustees. The Academic Councils of the faculties, institutes and departments are also established in the University.

The Conference of the University staff and students is the University collegial management body.

The Academic Council is the University collegial body which is in charge of the overall University management.

The Rector is the sole executive body of the University. The Rector is responsible for the ongoing management of the University, including academic, research and educational work as well as organizational and operational activities.

The management of certain work areas of the University is carried out by the Vice-Rectors. The allocation of duties between the Vice-Rectors, their official powers and responsibilities are established by the order of the Rector. The Vice-Rectors are responsible to the Rector of the University for the state of their mandated areas of work.
