Project and analytical session was held at Gubkin University within the implementation of the Priority 2030 Program

On 6 – 8 June 2022, a project and analytical session and an expert group of the Center for Sociological Research were held at Gubkin University within the implementation of the program of strategic academic leadership "Priority 2030".

For three days, experts and Gubkin Priority 2030 project team analyzed the progress of the Program, visited research centers and laboratories as well as organized a project session with Gubkin University faculty and staff members.

Professor Viktor Martynov, Rector of Gubkin University, delivered a presentation on the development of the University up to 2030 and spoke about the achievements of the target indicators of the development program.

Scientific supervisors presented the results of strategic projects: Hybrid materials and processes for the decarbonization of the economy – by Mr. Vladimir Vinokurov; Development of advanced technologies and a system for testing equipment in the fuel and energy complex – by Ms. Natalya Andreeva; Low- carbon energy carriers and petrochemical products – by Mr. Vladimir Kapustin.

Mr. Feodor Voitolovsky, Member of the Commission of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation for the selection of Russian educational institutions of higher education to participate in the Priority 2030 Program, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, analyzed the work of Gubkin University within the framework of the Program based on the examination of activities of the main scientific and educational divisions, laboratories and scientific and educational centers. While the members of the expert group – Mr. Dmitry Shabalkin, Vice-Rector for Innovative Development and Digital Transformation of Ulyanovsk State University, Mr. Alexey Komyagin, Program Director of the Institute for Regional Development of the Samara Region, Ms. Svetlana Nikolova, Deputy Director for the Development of Research and Fund Divisions of the Institute of Russian Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, analyzed the transformation processes of Gubkin University, held project and analytical session by dividing the participants into groups and areas.

During the session, every team described the current state of their area of work, presented their target values in accordance with the development program and identified barriers to achieving the goals. The participants also analyzed the current state and tried to integrate the strategic projects of the development program into the process of implementing the University policies.
