XIV Graduation of Young Specialists Held at the Tashkent Branch of Gubkin University
On July 14, 2026, the branch of the National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University” (NRU) in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, held its XIV formal diploma award ceremony. Diplomas were conferred upon 169 graduates of the branch. For each of them, this day became a symbol of the successful completion of their studies, recognition of years of hard work, and an important step on the path to professional life.
The graduates were addressed with words of encouragement by His Excellency Alexey Erkhov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Alexander Maksimenko, Director of the branch and Vice-Rector for International Affairs of the National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University”. They congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of their studies, noted the high level of training of the young specialists, and wished them successful professional fulfillment and confident progress.
The event was also attended by representatives of state authorities, JSC Uzbekneftegaz, LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company LLC, and other enterprises and organizations of the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In their speeches, the honored guests noted the high quality of specialist training, the demand for graduates of the Gubkin University branch at enterprises of the oil and gas complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan, emphasized the importance of engineering professions for the sustainable development of the economy, and wished the young specialists professional self-realization, self-confidence, and new professional achievements.
One of the most solemn moments of the XIV graduation ceremony was the presentation of honorary awards of the “Zvyozdny Start” (Star Start) project. This initiative, established at Gubkin University in 2013, is aimed at encouraging the most talented, proactive, and successful students of the university. In 2026, the award was received by 11 graduates who demonstrated the best academic results and distinguished themselves in the social, cultural, and scientific life of the branch.
Special recognition was given to Konstantin Tsupin, a student of the Tashkent branch of Gubkin University, who became the winner of the “Best CIS Student” international competition, receiving a first-degree diploma and the honorary title of the best student of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Taking into account this graduation, the total number of highly qualified specialists trained by the Tashkent branch of the National University of Oil and Gas “Gubkin University” (NRU) in the Republic of Uzbekistan has reached 2,562. All graduates are successfully working both at enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of the Republic of Uzbekistan and in international oil and gas companies.
