University students at the summer program of the China University of Petroleum in Qingdao (East China)
From June 29 to July 12, 2025, a group of Gubkin University students, accompanied by Sofia Pshenichnaya, assistant of the Department of Strategic Management of the Fuel and Energy Complex, took part in the summer program of the China University of Petroleum in Qingdao (East China) "EduInspire Summer Programme 2025".
The goal of the summer program is to bring together passionate and aspiring students from all over the world to explore new areas of knowledge and explore different ideas and ways of thinking. The students attended a course of lectures on the topic "Energy Transition in the Age of AI".
The program covered a wide range of relevant topics - from the Internet of Things technologies and energy recovery to business process analysis. Professors from such universities as the Federal University of Piauí (Brazil), the University of Manchester (England), the Hebei Institute of Technology (China), the University of Iowa, Emory University (USA) and others shared their knowledge.
In addition to academic classes, students also learned about the history, national traditions and cultural values of the Chinese people: Chinese traditional painting, medicine, took part in a tea ceremony, where they learned a lot about tea varieties and methods of making it, and also got acquainted with the practice of tai chi.
After completing both courses, Gubkin University students, together with Chinese students, prepared and defended projects on a given topic with excellent marks. On a free day, a trip to the Chinese province of Shandong was organized, where the students visited one of the sacred mountains of China - Laoshan. This trip allowed them to immerse even more in the atmosphere of ancient Chinese culture and history.
The final stage of the trip was the closing ceremony. Fang Huang, Head of the International Department of China University of Petroleum (East China), solemnly presented certificates of completion of the EduInspire Summer Programme 2025 to all participants.
