The Queen of Oil 2025

On March 6, 2025, the Queen of Oil competition was held in the Gubkinets Community Center, where 11 of the most talented girls from Gubkin University competed for the long-awaited title in front of more than 1,000 spectators. The winner was Angelina Shchukina, a student at the Military Training Center.

The traditional Queen of Oil competition is one of the most anticipated holidays among students of Gubkin University. The event was accompanied by an unforgettable atmosphere and a colorful show program, which was shared by representatives of leading Russian oil and gas companies, businesses, and government agencies along with Gubkin residents.

By Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, 2025 was declared the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, and therefore special attention at the event was paid to supporting Gubkin graduates and employees who are currently taking part in a special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The event began with a welcoming speech by the rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov.

“Dear colleagues, students and guests, we are glad to see you at the Queen of Oil 2025 competition! On the eve of the most anticipated spring holiday - International Women's Day - I would like to congratulate all girls and women on this significant event! Thanks to your support, men perform great feats and reach incredible heights, thank you for your beauty and care!” - Rector Viktor Martynov emphasized in his speech.

Then, together with the Executive Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Gubkin Graduates Fund Sergey Viryaskin and the head of the patriotic club "I am proud" Daria Khoptova, the following were awarded with gratitude, as well as corporate insignia "Golden Star of Gubkin University" and "Honorary Graduate of Gubkin University":
- Alexander Tretyakov - a graduate of the Military Training Center in 2019, a participant in a special military operation, awarded the Zhukov, Suvorov, Medals "For Valor" of the second degree, and the Medal "For Military Distinction";
- Matvey Meshchaninov - a graduate of the Military Training Center in 2020, a participant in a special military operation, awarded the Suvorov and "For Bravery" medals of the second degree;
– Evgeny Karev – a 2020 graduate of the Military Training Center, a participant in a special military operation, awarded the SVO participant medal and the second-degree medal "For Military Valor";
– Ivan Obrezkov – a 2022 graduate of the Military Training Center, a participant in a special military operation, awarded the second-degree medals "For Military Distinction" and "For Military Valor".

The jury members presented gifts to the winners of the nominations, which were distributed as follows:

Miss Artistry – Ksenia Vayman, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Ecology;
Miss Perfection – Angelina Shchukina, Military Training Center;
Miss Elegance – Radmila Eminova, Faculty of Integrated Security of the Fuel and Energy Complex;
Miss Inspiration – Maria Agoshkova, Faculty of Geology and Geophysics of Oil and Gas;
Miss Charm – Ekaterina Alekseeva, Faculty of Law;
Miss Exquisiteness – Polina Kulikova, Faculty of Design, Construction and Operation of Pipeline Transport Systems;
Miss Enchantment – Sofya Gamrekeli, Faculty of International Energy Business;
Miss Grace – Polina Vasilyeva, Faculty of Engineering Mechanics

Voting by users in the official Gubkin University VKontakte group determined the winner of the audience sympathy award. She was Radmila Eminova, a student of the Faculty of Integrated Safety of the Fuel and Energy Complex.

According to the results of the jury's vote, the title of "Oil Queen 2025" was received by Angelina Shchukina, a student of the Military Training Center. The winner of the title of "Vice-Queen of Oil" was Ksenia Vayman, a student of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Ecology.
