Opening of an exhibition in honor of the anniversary of the famous oilman Valery Grayfer

On December 10, 2024, an exhibition in honor of the 95th anniversary of the famous oilman Valery Grayfer opened in the hall of the scientific and technical library of Gubkin University.

Representatives of oil and gas companies, as well as the management, teachers, staff and students of Gubkin University took part in the ceremonial event. The meeting was moderated by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Vladimir Koshelev.

“Valery Grayfer was a professional oilman and a talented manager, under his leadership all the main fields of Western Siberia were discovered and developed, and most of the current heads of oil companies were trained. We are very grateful to Valery Isaakovich for everything that was done for our country, the oil and gas industry and, in particular, for Gubkin University!”, - Rector Viktor Martynov noted in his speech.

Valery Grayfer graduated from the Gubkin Moscow Oil Institute in 1952. He holds the following titles: Honorary Oilman of the USSR (1979), Honored Worker of the Oil and Gas Industry of the RSFSR (1967). He was also awarded the Order of Lenin (1971), the Red Banner of Labor (1966), the Badge of Honor (1959), Friendship (1996), For Services to the Fatherland, III and IV degrees (2007, 1999), and Alexander Nevsky (2014). He was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the President of the Russian Federation (2009) and the Lenin Prize Laureate (1976).
