Meeting with International Students
On January 14, 2026, a meeting with international students was held at Gubkin University. Issues related to compliance with Russian Federation law and the university's internal regulations were discussed.
The event was attended by Alexander Shcherbina, Head of the International Student Department; Natalya Unanyan, Head of the Psychological Service; David Petrosyan, Head of the Center for the Formation and Protection of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values and Semantic Guidelines; and Ilya Balov, Chairman of the United Student Council.
Alexander Shcherbina, Head of the International Student Department, opened the meeting. He noted that students should pay close attention to the requirements of Russian migration legislation and added that Gubkin University is open to international students and is committed to providing a high level of training in all educational programs offered at the university.
The floor was then given to Natalia Unanyan, Head of the Psychological Service, who spoke about compliance with sanitary and epidemiological regulations at the university and on campus, as well as the importance of choosing appropriate clothing for the weather and climate.
The next speaker was David Petrosyan, Head of the Center for the Formation and Protection of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values and Meaningful Orientations, who spoke about the importance of resisting provocations from various opposing sides during global social crises, focusing more on the educational process, and refraining from participating in unauthorized mass events. Ilya Balov, Chairman of the United Student Council, also spoke at the meeting, informing the audience about the activities of student organizations and encouraging all international students to actively participate in student life at Gubkin University.
Following the event, attendees had the opportunity to ask the speakers any questions they might have.
