Meeting of students with the employee of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Bulgaru

On March 20, 2025, in the assembly hall of the Gubkin University Offshore Drilling Center, a meeting of students with the employee of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Bulgaru took place in the format of an online teleconference "Moscow - New York".

The event was attended by students and teachers interested in modern international relations and scientific and technical cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

The Russian diplomat shared his own experience of working in an international organization, tactics and strategy of negotiations, and also spoke about the specifics of using political and diplomatic instruments to protect Russia's national interests in the international arena.

Dmitry Bulgaru answered questions from students present about how the work of the UN has changed in the context of global geopolitical changes, and what projects are relevant within the framework of global anti-terrorist cooperation. In addition, the employee of the permanent mission suggested that the students study the scientific and historical works of Russian diplomats more closely, in particular, the memoirs of the outstanding Russian diplomat Vitaly Churkin.

The event was organized by the student scientific society of the faculty of integrated security of the fuel and energy complex together with the department (basic) of international cooperation in the field of security.
