IV Student Forum "Oil field"
From November 13 to 16, 2025, the IV Gubkin University Student Forum "Oil Field" was held at the Zaluchye Educational and Cultural Center. It brought together 100 students from the university and its Orenburg branch. The forum provided a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and inspiration, where students were able to connect with professionals and gain valuable insights for their future development.
As part of the intensive program, participants attended lectures, practical classes, and creative events.
A key event of the forum was the awards ceremony for the Gubkin University Corporate Award "Star of Gubkin University" (Star Start), where Rector Viktor Martynov presented four "Silver Star of Gubkin University" awards and ten "Star of Gubkin University" awards.
The forum program included an educational section, where Vice-Rector Anton Tumanov addressed issues of state youth policy, and Antonina Zubareva, Head of the Center for Assessment and Development of Student Competencies, spoke about the values and competencies that determine career paths. Vice-Rector for Continuing and Professional Education Nikita Golunov led an intellectual game, "Unique Projects of the Fuel and Energy Sector."
Of particular interest was the meeting between students and Rector Viktor Martynov, which took the form of a lively and open discussion. Students asked questions about the development of education, student families, and opportunities for self-fulfillment. The Rector shared his personal experiences of student life, talked about his family, and answered the most pressing questions of students.
In thematic sections, forum participants delved deeper into the legal framework for student self-government, discussed motivation for study, and discussed collaboration with partners.
The second day of the forum featured a plenary discussion with the university's vice-rectors, educational sessions on project preparation, and lectures by Pavel Kalashnikov, Vice-Rector for Research, on the role of scientific research, and Professor Andrey Dushin on Russia's national idea. A significant event was a meeting with Georgy Wilhelm, coordinator of the "Youth of Moscow: City of Heroes" program and a combat veteran.
The "Oil Field" forum once again confirmed its status as a space for growth, communication, and inspiration, where new ideas and prospects for young leaders are born.
